Ira Nevelow, CPA, AEP, JD, has more than 35 years of experience in public accounting. He focuses on taxation of not-for-profit organizations, estates, trusts and individuals.
In the not-for-profit realm, Ira belongs to the Gulf States Tax Exempt and Governmental Entities Council. He is also a past member of the TXCPA’s Nonprofit Organizations Conference Committee and a past officer of the Dallas Council of Charitable Gift Planners. Ira has presented on topics such as special event reporting, unrelated business income, sponsorships and Washington updates affecting exempt organizations.
Ira is a past president of the Dallas Estate Planning Council and the 16th person to be designated an Accredited Estate Planner by the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils where he was also a board member. Ira has served on the TXCPA Relations with IRS Committee and as a Texas Bar representative for the IRS Taxpayer Education and Communication Committee. He has also testified and spoken regarding Texas separate property matters.
Ira earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas.
