Ira Nevelow, CPA, AEP, JD, has more than 30 years of experience. He focuses on taxation of estates and trusts, not-for-profits, and individuals; and also consults with clients regarding their gift and estate planning, including administration.
Ira is a past president of the Dallas Estate Planning Council and the 16th person to be designated an Accredited Estate Planner by the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils; he was a board member of that organization. Ira has served on the TSCPA Relations with IRS Committee and as a Texas Bar representative for the IRS Taxpayer Education and Communication committee. He has also testified and spoken regarding Texas separate property matters.
In the not-for-profit realm, Ira belongs to the TSCPA’s Nonprofit Organizations Conference committee, the Gulf States Tax Exempt and Governmental Entities Council and the board of the Dallas Council of Charitable Gift Planners. He has presented on special event reporting, unrelated business income and regulatory changes affecting exempt organizations. Ira earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas.
