Karl Schwabauer, CPA, CFF, CVA, has extensive experience providing forensic accounting, economic damage assessment and valuation services. He also testifies at trial, deposition, arbitration and as a court‐appointed expert for matters related to fraud or financial misrepresentation, fraudulent transfers, accounting issues, breach of fiduciary duties, diversion of assets, contract disputes, purchase and buy/sell agreement disputes, shareholder/partner disputes, minority shareholder oppression, insurance disputes, intellectual property disputes, and valuation and solvency issues.
As a CPA licensed in multiple states, Karl also assists clients with accounting, tax and valuation services for corporations, partnerships, individuals, estates and trusts. He earned the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) credential through the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) and is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the AICPA.
Karl earned a Master of Business Administration from California State University – Dominguez Hills and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is a member of the AICPA, the NACVA and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). Karl is also a member of the Institute for Energy Law, where he serves on the advisory board, and a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), where he sits on multiple committees within both the Business and Litigation Sections.
