Mary Thomas, CPA, JD, has more than 25 years of tax and accounting experience, including more than 15 years of international tax and IRS examination experience. Mary currently serves as the partner-in-charge of Weaver’s international tax practice. Her focus is in global restructuring and refinancing strategies, cross-border transactional planning and management and transfer pricing compliance, documentation and planning. Additional focuses include strategic re-sourcing of income and expenses, global Value Added Tax (VAT), custom duties and tariff compliance and planning, and IRS audit controversy services.
Mary is an author of articles for professional and business publications, providing valuable industry and technical insights. She is an active local member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mary earned a Juris Doctor from the Washington College of Law at American University, and a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
