IT Advisory Partner, Trip Hillman, shares his insight on Doxxing with InfoSecurity Professional and provides tips on how cybersecurity professionals can apply their skills to address the problem.
- Doxxing, a threat actor term for “dropping documents,” or releasing private information, has become an insidious way to shame people around the world. - Hillman drew on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework as a useful model to apply to the problem, whether at the enterprise or personal level. NIST lays out “processes and cybersecurity practices to identify, protect, detect, respond and recover from any type of cyber event,” he noted.
