Employment Disputes

From ADA and EEOC disputes and investigations to workers’ compensation and wrongful termination matters – among the myriad types of employment law claims – Weaver’s professionals have a long history of helping parties understand the economic issues at hand.

Both plaintiff and defense counsel count on us to perform fair, accurate and supported calculations of economic damages based on accepted methodologies. We are known for exceptional responsiveness, experience, skills, credentials and efficiency that translate into broadened capabilities for counsel on either side of the equation.

Weaver professionals have decades of combined experience serving as consulting experts and testifying experts on employment disputes for both plaintiff and defense, in federal and state courts, as well as in arbitration. Our team is skilled at communicating conclusions and presenting findings in a clear, concise, and understandable manner, whether by report or in testimony.

Wrongful Termination Claims

Determining wage and benefit losses in wrongful termination disputes requires analyzing the various components of the plaintiff’s compensation, as well as using economic data and statistics as well as other expert reports. It can also involve valuations of equity compensation using complex option pricing models, such as the Black-Scholes Model. Our job in such matters is to not only apply these sophisticated mathematical models with skill but to explain them with simplicity.

Non-Compete and Non-Solicitation Claims

Calculating economic damages in breach of non-compete and/or non-solicitation agreement disputes requires in-depth knowledge of the industry and often involves a detailed analysis of the employee’s contributions to the plaintiff company, as well as the related costs. We take this complexity and distill it into easy-to-understand terms that both parties – and triers of fact – can readily understand.

Wage Discrimination

Wage discrimination studies require a unique skillset, including knowledge of theoretical and applied statistical methods, as well as an understanding of compensation structures and the drivers for compensation in each industry.

Our credentialed professionals have the requisite experience to make these otherwise complicated sets of data easily understandable to all parties. Weaver’s professionals have advanced degrees and certifications in areas such as accounting (CPA), valuation (ASA, CVA), financial forensics (CFF, MAFF), and fraud investigation (CFE). This depth of talent allows us to assemble a qualified team to address the most complex issues effectively and efficiently.
