Kristen Derryberry Returns to Weaver as Director in Employee Benefit Plan Audit Practice
HOUSTON (May 29, 2024) – National accounting and advisory firm, Weaver, is pleased to welcome Kristen Derryberry to Weaver as a director within the Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) Audit practice.
Based in Dallas, Texas, Kristen is focused exclusively on assurance services for benefit plans including defined contribution plans such as 401(k), 403(b), profit sharing and ESOPs (counting those that require a Form 11-K filing), as well as defined benefit plans and health and welfare benefit plans.
Kristen returns to Weaver after working at firm’s Fort Worth office in 2018 as an Audit senior manager where she oversaw multiple engagements related to EBPs and public sector clients.

With more than two decades of experience, including positions with Big Four firms, Kristen has served clients across many industries, working extensively within EBPs, not-for-profit organizations, government entities and the energy sector.
Her skill set extends to handling plan terminations, mergers, late filings and corrections, alongside thorough financial statement audits and internal controls assessments. Furthermore, she is well-versed in SOC 1 review and CEUC testing, ensuring regulatory compliance and robust security measures for clients.
Kristen has a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and a Master of Science in accounting from Texas A&M University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and an active member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
