David Bennett

David Bennett, CPA, CFE, CFF, CITP, has more than 35 years of experience in public accounting, practice management, corporate finance, technology and federal and state regulatory compliance, including Sarbanes-Oxley and the implementation of financial reporting systems. He joined Weaver through the merger with his firm, RIN Attest and Advisory Services, LLC, which provided compliance guidance and annual attestations under EPA’s Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) for more than 100 companies in the biofuels industry. He has extensive experience performing QAP testing under EPA regulations and serving the biofuels industry to ensure RIN integrity and industry stability. His primary emphasis includes accounting, auditing, compliance, QAP, LCFS, consulting and annual attestations for the renewable fuels industry. David is an accredited Lead Verifier under the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) and the Oregon Clean Fuels Program.

David is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFP), as well as being Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) and a Certified IT Professional (CITP) and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York and New Jersey Societies of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting and business administration from Rutgers University.
