Laura Roman

Laura Roman, CPA, has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting and serves as the Partner-in-Charge for Weaver’s National Tax Office. The National Tax Office provides support to the firm for technical resources and development, operational efficiencies, learning and development, best practices and risk management. Previously, Laura was the South Region Tax Partner-in-Charge and spent several years as the learning and development leader for the tax practice. With extensive experience serving clients in the oil and gas industry and high-net-worth individuals and families, Laura remains on the forefront of industry, geo-political and regulation changes. Additionally, she has extensive tax and consulting experience in mergers and acquisitions and business transactional services.

A Forbes 2024 Top 200 CPA, Laura is an active local member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, in addition to serving on numerous not-for profit boards and private foundations. She is a frequent author of articles for professional and business publications, providing valuable technical and industry insights. Laura earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Baylor University.
