Bruce Zaret, CPA, has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, including former Big Four experience. Bruce currently leads the Advisory Services Financial Institutions Consulting practice where services such as consumer/regulatory compliance audits and fair lending reviews are performed. Bruce specializes in providing internal control, risk management and due diligence services to the financial services and oil and gas industries and has extensive experience leading outsourced and co-sourced internal audit engagements for NYSE and other publicly traded companies. He has also led numerous engagements to help clients develop solutions around risk identification and vulnerability assessment that involve implementing procedures to monitor effectiveness of critical internal controls.
As a frequent speaker at various professional and educational events, Bruce provides valuable industry and technical insights throughout the state. Bruce is an active participant and leader in numerous industry associations, including the Texas Bankers Association, the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, among others. He completed the Financial Management Program (finance certification) at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois State University.
