Carey Savio, CPA, has nearly 25 years of public accounting experience primarily at a global Big Four public accounting firm. She has developed deep knowledge providing services to a wide range of clients, from Fortune 500 public companies to smaller privately held businesses. She has extensive experience conducting audits in accordance with standards developed by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Throughout her career, Carey has led audits for clients across a spectrum of industries, including distribution, manufacturing, construction leasing, retail, media and entertainment. She is skilled at navigating complex technical accounting matters including business combinations, lease accounting and new accounting standard interpretation and adoption, in addition to SEC reporting matters. Carey has significant experience managing multi-national engagements, including global coordination of both integrated Sarbanes-Oxley compliant and non-integrated private company audits.
Carey is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and serves on the advisory council for the Stonehill College Leo J. Meehan School of Business. Carey is also an adjunct professor of accounting at Adelphi University. Carey earned a Bachelor of Science from Stonehill College.
