Dave A. Unger Jr., CPA, has more than 12 years of public accounting experience. Before joining Weaver, he led the development of a top-tier Private Client Services team in the greater Baltimore market. He has significant experience working on compliance, governance and structuring projects for high-net-worth families with net worths ranging from $10 million to $2.5 billion. Dave leads engagement teams through complex tax consulting and compliance projects for high-net-worth individuals, estates, trusts, and related investment entities. He writes blog posts, assists with technical and software training, and creates workpaper templates to increase team and personal efficiency. Dave is proficient in multiple engagement software systems including CCH ProSystem, CCH Axcess, CCH Engagement, CCH Workstream, GoSystem Tax, SurePrep, TaxCaddy, CaseWare, BNA Income Tax Planner, Microsoft Office 365 suite, eMoney and Gillett Estate Management Suite (GEMS).

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Maryland, Dave is pursuing his Master of Science in family financial planning (2025). He earned his Bachelor of Science in accounting from Towson University.
