Hillary Balares

Hillary Balares, CPA, has more than 13 years of experience in public accounting and began her career as an associate in Weaver’s Houston office before transferring to the Dallas office. With a focus on both public and privately held company audits and reviews, Hillary’s industry experience is primarily within the upstream and midstream energy group, but also includes financial services, manufacturing and distribution, as well as employee benefit plan audits. In her role, she plans and leads financial statement audits in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and has extensive experience with PCAOB standards. She has comprehensive knowledge of successful efforts and full cost accounting as an engagement team leader, in which she monitors and maintains the highest standards of quality for audits of all sizes.

Hillary is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Women’s Energy Network, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Hillary earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Texas A&M University.
