Nathaniel Francis

Nathaniel Francis, CFE, has more than 14 years of experience in business due diligence, litigation support, complex corporate and financial investigations, and forensic audits, including sensitive projects for municipalities. He operates out of Weaver’s New York City office within the Forensics and Litigation Services group. Nathaniel’s experience includes multi-jurisdiction asset tracing investigations for financial firms and investors. He is well-versed with many types of investigations including pre-transaction due diligence, competitive intelligence gathering and forensic document review.

In his role, Nathaniel creates project strategies and communicates results to corporate executives, heads of security, chief legal counsel and law firm partners. He is involved in international and cross-border asset-tracing and judgment enforcement projects on behalf of investment management companies and private equity funds, both international and domestic. The work resulted in valuable assets found overseas and, in the U.S., and armed clients’ counsel with what was needed to obtain multi-million-dollar settlements for the clients. He has worked to provide information to a hedge fund client and its outside counsel to enforce a multi-million-dollar judgment and has also uncovered evidence of fraud by an international businessman that resulted in a lawsuit and large judgment. Nathaniel conducts numerous due diligence investigations into prospective deal partners, merger and acquisition targets, vendors and executive hires. He also has an extensive background working alongside receivers including tracing, locating and seizing assets and other investigative services across U.S. District and State jurisdictions.

A Certified Fraud Examiner, Nathaniel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in economics from Penn State University.
