Sharyl David, CFA, ASA, has more than 30 years of experience in corporate finance and has been focused on appraising ownership interests in privately held companies since 1998. She helps countless business owners understand the value of their business and estimates that she has completed around 1,800 such valuations. Sharyl provides a range of valuation services including ownership interests in operating companies (C-corporations and S-corporations), family limited partnerships, and limited liability corporations for a variety of purposes, including shareholder and succession planning, corporate planning, estate and gift reporting, potential sale, merger and acquisition, divestitures, and Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs). Her valuation experience ranges from common and preferred stock to long-term incentive plans. Sharyl is a financial and valuation advisor to sell-side (business owners) and buy-side mergers and acquisitions and has extensive experience in ESOPs.
Sharyl is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFA), the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), The ESOP Association, the ESOP Association Valuation Advisory Committee and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO). She is a past treasurer and board member of the CFA Society Sacramento, a Top Mentor with Moss Adams Advisory Services (2019), Co-Chair of the Western Regional ESOP Virtual Chapter Conference (September 2020), Co-Chair of the Western Regional ESOP Chapter Conference (October 2019), and was voted Working Mother of the Year – Moss Adams LLP, Working Mother Magazine – “The 2014 Working Mothers of the Year” – October/November 2014.
Sharyl is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuation and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder with the CFA Institute. She earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Seattle University and her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in finance from Western Washington University.
