Former EPA Fuels Team Leader Pickell Joins Weaver

We are excited to announce that former EPA Fuels Team Leader Erv Pickell recently joined Weaver’s Denver operations as a director in energy compliance services. His appointment signals an expansion of Weaver’s rapidly growing practice that specializes in environmental regulations.

Bringing his unmatched depth of industry knowledge and compliance experience, Erv will provide technical support and regulatory consulting services to companies needing assistance navigating and understanding environmental fuels regulations.

Erv worked for more than a decade as the fuels team leader within the EPA’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance. Prior to that, he was the chief of the EPA’s Denver Field Office for Mobile Source Enforcement.

Erv received numerous awards from the EPA relating to regulatory development work and enforcement activities. He was recognized with the “Excellence in Innovations” award for his development of regulatory provisions that enhanced compliance assurance concerning ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel. The regulatory provision was viewed as beneficial to both the Agency’s interests and the interests of fuel producers and suppliers. 

Erv graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, with a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology and earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from The Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver.
