Weaver Adds Nicholas Markey as Partner to Lead Firm’s Boston Expansion

HOUSTON (October 27, 2025) — Weaver, a national accounting and advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Nicholas (Nick) Markey, CPA, has joined the firm as a partner in its Audit — Financial Services practice and will lead the launch of its new Boston office.
Located at 501 Boylston Street in the Back Bay area, the firm’s Boston office marks an important milestone in the firm’s East Coast expansion. Designed to strengthen connections with clients and talent across the Northeast, the office underscores Weaver’s commitment to strategic growth in a key regional market. Nick will serve as the executive partner for the Boston office, leading local operations as the firm establishes its presence in the region.

With more than a decade of experience in public accounting, Nick has deep technical knowledge in auditing complex financial instruments, private equity investments and investment management entities. He joins Weaver from a Big Four firm, where he led audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of financial services clients and played a key role in business development and team leadership. Nick’s experience includes managing large, multi-location audit teams, implementing innovative approaches to audit quality and fostering strong client relationships.

Nick is a certified public accountant in Massachusetts and an active member of both the American Institute of CPAs and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he continues to serve as a director on the UMass Foundation Board and a member of the Isenberg Accounting Advisory Council.
