Weaver Builds on National Office Momentum with New Partner Michael Loritz

HOUSTON (October 30, 2025) — National accounting and advisory firm, Weaver, is pleased to announce that Michael Loritz, CPA, has joined the firm as a partner in its National Office — Audit and Advisory. He will focus on advancing audit quality, methodology and innovation across the firm.
Michael brings nearly 30 years of public accounting experience, including extensive leadership in quality and risk management, process improvement and technology transformation. He has led large national teams, guided firmwide integration efforts and implemented initiatives to modernize audit approaches through new technology tools and workflow design. Earlier in his career, Michael held progressive leadership roles at a global accounting firm, working extensively with diversified financial services entities and serving as a national instructor on audit methodology and accounting.

Throughout his career, Michael has focused on accounting and financial reporting for entities of all sizes, audit and attest services, risk management and strategic advisory. He has a deep understanding of the accounting and reporting for fair value, derivative financial instruments, stock-based compensation, marketable and nonmarketable investments and risk management topics, and has contributed to the profession as a member of AICPA exams team and content committee as well as a technical reviewer and author of industry audit guides and tools.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a Master of Accountancy from Kansas State University. He is a certified public accountant licensed in Missouri, Kansas and Hawaii.
