Weaver Private Foundation Names Habitat for Humanity as 2015-16 Charity of Choice

The Weaver Private Foundation named Habitat for Humanity as the Charity of Choice for the fiscal year 2015-16. The Foundation contributed a total of $60,000 to Habitat for Humanity Texas to distribute to Habitat affiliates in locations where Weaver, the largest independent accounting firm in the Southwest, has offices.

Habitat was an obvious choice based on this year’s theme of “Neighborhood and Community Development” with a focus on housing and shelter. The Foundation board members felt that through Habitat, those in need in local communities could be supported through Weaver employees’ participation with Habitat. Nearly 100 Weaver employees volunteered at six locations throughout Texas to help build homes for families in need.
