Colby Warr, CPA, has more than 25 years of public accounting experience, including nine years at a Big Four firm. He provides financial statement audit and related assurance services to privately held and public companies across the energy and natural resources sectors, with significant experience serving private-equity-backed portfolio companies and global organizations with group audit requirements.
Colby’s industry experience includes midstream energy, energy trading, renewable power, energy transition, downstream operations and retail energy. His experience also extends to metals and mining, including sand, copper and industrial metals, with exposure to the sector’s complex operational, capital and financial reporting considerations. Colby also advises clients on complex accounting and reporting matters, including business combinations, IFRS conversions, goodwill and other tangible and intangible assets, impairment, hedge accounting and asset retirement obligations.
Colby brings a practical, business-focused perspective to complex reporting environments and works closely with management teams, investors and those charged with governance to address issues efficiently and avoid surprises. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA) and is a licensed CPA in Texas, New York and Hawaii.
