Tony Burgess

Tony Burgess, CMI, has more than 20 years of sales and use tax experience, including former Big Four tax consulting experience and nine years working in the energy sector. At Weaver, Tony leads the sales and use tax practice in the Houston office. His experience includes performing Texas sales and use tax audits, reverse audits, as well as securing tax credits and incentives for companies in a wide array of industries such as energy, manufacturing, construction contracts and service companies.

Tony is a certified member (CMI) of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, which recognizes professional achievement in sales and use taxation. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Texas Tech University.
