Weaver Strengthens Forensics and Litigation Services Practice with Director, Doug Brustkern

HOUSTON (July 14, 2026) — National accounting and advisory firm, Weaver, is pleased to announce that Doug Brustkern, CFE, MBA, has returned to the firm as a director in its Forensics and Litigation Services (FLS) practice. Based in Dallas, Doug brings deep experience in commercial disputes involving economic damages and has served clients across industries including private equity, health care, consumer products and energy, with a particular emphasis on real estate and construction.

Doug has an extensive background supporting matters involving lost profits, business interruption, cost overruns, fraud and misrepresentation, contractual disputes and partnership disputes. He originally joined Weaver in 2020, leading project teams on complex engagements in forensic accounting, financial analysis and valuation services. His work included structuring analyses to quantify economic damages and supporting strategic decisions for attorneys and clients, while also contributing to business development and client relationship growth.

Prior to rejoining Weaver, Doug collaborated closely with executive leadership teams on operational and financial transformation initiatives at a global consulting firm’s corporate performance improvement practice. He focused on identifying opportunities to reduce costs, eliminate inefficiencies and enhance performance to drive measurable financial value.

Doug’s return to Weaver reflects his continued commitment to delivering high-quality client service with a team and culture he values. His experience delivering operational and financial transformation initiatives, combined with his litigation and forensic accounting background, supports how the firm helps clients navigate high-stakes business challenges and achieve successful outcomes.

Doug is a certified fraud examiner (CFE) and earned both his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
