Brandon Powers brings nearly 20 years of professional experience in leadership, market growth and operational excellence within public accounting. His background spans corporate taxation, M&A tax structuring, U.S. international taxation, including inbound and outbound taxation, federal and state compliance and ASC 740 tax provision services. Bringing extensive knowledge in optimizing tax accounting processes and leveraging technology to drive performance and profitability, he plays a key role in advancing the Denver office’s capabilities within a dynamic and rapidly growing region. With a strong track record of implementing change initiatives and building client relationships, he is well-positioned to contribute to the growth and success of Weaver’s presence in the Mountain West.

Brandon’s career focus has been corporate taxation for multi-national and/or multi-state corporations in the mid-market, and he has spent most of his career on international and M&A consulting, compliance matters and ASC 740 tax accrual preparation and review services. His industry niches include aviation, manufacturing and distribution, retail and consumer goods, technology and software, alternative energy, professional services and financial services industries.

Brandon is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA). He is an executive board member and treasurer for the World Trade Center Denver. Brandon earned a Master of Taxation from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in accounting and business administration, as well as a certificate in financial analysis from Colorado State University.
