Joe Cashel, CTP, CIRA, has 25 years of experience providing financial advisory and restructuring services. He advises distressed entities, lender groups and unsecured creditors’ committees on financial and operational restructurings, committees of secured and unsecured creditors on recovery options and legal counsel in both bankruptcy and litigation matters. His background includes the preparation and analysis of business plans, cash flow projections and restructuring programs, as well as the evaluation of DIP financing, asset sales and competing bids. His financial advisory and restructuring experience spans across the consumer products, hospitality, pharmaceutical, technology and manufacturing industries. Joe also serves as an expert witness in complex bankruptcy claims litigation involving solvency and fraudulent conveyances, breach of fiduciary duty, plan feasibility, substantive consolidation and preferential transfers. He has provided insight on hundreds of cases throughout his career and is a frequent speaker on bankruptcy litigation topics.
Joe is a certified insolvency and restructuring advisor (CIRA) within the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors and a certified turnaround professional (CTP) designated by the Turnaround Management Association. He is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI). Joe received an Master of Business Administration in finance and management information systems and a Bachelor of Science in business management, both from Binghamton University.
