Shelby Mathers

Shelby Mathers has more than nine years of experience helping clients identify cybersecurity related risks and providing tailored recommendations to audiences of varying technical backgrounds. Within Weaver’s Cybersecurity practice, Shelby’s focus is on executing and managing various types of consulting, auditing and hands-on security testing engagements.

She leads cybersecurity maturity assessments utilizing leading security frameworks and guidance, targeted cybersecurity practice area reviews, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and social engineering. Shelby is also responsible for assisting organizations with enhancing security-related processes, including incident response, vulnerability management and security awareness training. She has significant experience providing services to a number of industries, including government entities, higher education, financial services, technology and health care, bringing diverse knowledge to her clients.

A Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Shelby is a current member of the North Texas Chapter of ISACA and the CCM Working Group of the Cloud Security Alliance. She earned a Bachelor of Science in actuarial science from Michigan State University.
