When the State Bar of California requires selected attorneys to complete a compliance review of their client trust accounting practices, those reviews must be conducted by approved CPA firms using state bar-defined agreed upon procedures (AUP).

CTAPP compliance reviews are designed to evaluate whether client trust account activity has been properly recorded, documented and reconciled during the review period. Weaver performs each CTAPP compliance review strictly in accordance with state bar requirements, using standardized procedures and secure systems to support consistency across engagements.

As an approved firm, Weaver:

• Applies the precise AUP steps prescribed by the California State Bar
• Performs all work within the state bar’s secure audit management software
• Conducts the engagement remotely
• Provides factual findings to the state bar via restricted-use reporting
• Follows strict confidentiality, cybersecurity and independence rules as outlined in the independent contractor agreement

All CTAPP compliance review findings are reported directly to the State Bar of California and are intended for restricted use in accordance with program guidelines.
