What are the objectives of your internship?

Prior to beginning my internship at Weaver, I decided that I wanted to use my education to help companies grow and become more efficient. At that point in time, I was not entirely sure if this career path was the right choice for me. As an intern at Weaver, I want to use this opportunity to help make that decision. My main objective is to learn and experience as much as I can during my internship so that I can be able to make an informed decision.

What does your day-to-day life look like as an intern?

Every day at Weaver is different and no two days are the same. One of the greatest things about being an intern is that you have the opportunity to learn something new every day.

What is your favorite part of working at Weaver?

My favorite part of working at Weaver is the opportunity to work with individuals that are very knowledgeable. Every new project allows me to meet new people and experience the diversity of leadership within the firm. This experience allows me to learn and grow as a professional.

What is the most valuable thing that you have learned through your intern experience?

One of the most valuable lessons I have learned at Weaver is to always ask questions and be confident. It is very unlikely that an intern will know everything that there is to know or be able to learn everything during their time here. However, being confident and asking questions will provide that individual with the opportunity to learn and grow. 

What was your biggest concern entering the internship, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest concern that I had coming into Weaver was that I was not as knowledgeable as other team members. I have always considered myself an average student, but I was able to overcome this because of my colleagues. The people here at Weaver are genuine and have helped me to overcome many of my concerns.  

What has your favorite office memory been so far?

My favorite office memory would have to be the day that I traveled to Louisiana. I had never boarded a flight before, and I was scheduled to fly to Louisiana to work on an oil and gas client. It was a new experience and I truly enjoyed it!
