Weaver Appoints Mostafa Popal as Executive Partner for Little Falls, New Jersey Office

HOUSTON (April 16, 2026) — National accounting and advisory firm Weaver has appointed Mostafa Popal as executive partner for its Little Falls, New Jersey, office. In this role, Popal will guide the firm’s continued growth in New Jersey and the broader Northeast while strengthening collaboration among Weaver’s East Coast offices.
As executive partner, Mostafa will help advance Weaver’s regional growth strategy by cultivating relationships with clients, prospective talent and business leaders throughout the New Jersey and New York markets. He will also serve as the primary point-person for local office operations, culture initiatives and firm events, reinforcing Weaver’s people-first culture and connection across offices.
Mostafa began his career in the Northeast at a Big Four firm, building long-standing relationships in the region. After nearly two decades with Weaver’s Dallas office, he returned to New Jersey in 2024 to help expand the firm’s audit presence on the East Coast and deepen client relationships while increasing Weaver’s visibility in the market.
With more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, Mostafa serves middle-market companies with a hands-on, advisory-focused approach across industries including manufacturing, distribution, retail, technology and professional services, and with both public and private companies.
“Mostafa brings a combination of deep technical experience, strong regional relationships and a clear understanding of what it takes to build and sustain a market presence,” said John Mackel, CEO and managing partner at Weaver. “His leadership has already advanced our presence on the East Coast, and I’m confident he will continue to drive collaboration, growth and a strong culture in the Little Falls office and beyond.”
Weaver’s Little Falls office works closely with the firm’s New York teams to serve clients in the tri-state region. Professionals at both locations work together to bring the right industry knowledge and experience to each engagement, ensuring clients benefit from the firm’s collective strengths and national resources.
“With deep personal and professional roots in this region, I’m proud to help support Weaver’s continued growth in the Northeast,” said Mostafa. “This role allows me to build on the momentum we’ve created in Little Falls and New York, strengthen local relationships and continue delivering the hands-on client experience that defines the Weaver way.”
