Weaver Continues to Expand Governance, Risk and Compliance Practice with New Director, Kelly Ragsdale

HOUSTON (April 15, 2025) – Weaver, a national accounting and advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Kelly Ragsdale, CIA, CRCP, has joined Weaver as a director in its Asset Management Consulting team, continuing the growth of the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) practice.
With more than 25 years of industry experience, Kelly’s career has focused on risk management, compliance and internal auditing. Based in Houston, he will support the national growth of Weaver’s internal audit and consulting capabilities with pension funds, investment advisers, mutual funds, ETFs, private funds and other investment vehicles.

Kelly most recently served as a director at a global investment management firm where he led projects and developed strategic initiatives within risk and audit operations. Reaching across all facets of the asset management industry, he has played key roles in designing and implementing internal audit strategies and risk management frameworks while leading teams to improve governance practices. Earlier in his career, Kelly’s work supported the development, implementation and oversight of a compliance program for a network of affiliated U.S. registered broker-dealers.
Kelly is a certified internal auditor (CIA) and certified regulatory and compliance professional (CRCP). He passed FINRA Series 7, 24 and 51 and received a CFA Institute Investment Foundations Certificate. Graduating from the University of Houston, Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science in economics.
