Weaver Midland Wins 2023 Excellence in Equality Awards

HOUSTON (October 26, 2023) – Weaver, a national accounting and advisory firm, received recognition from the Midland Chamber of Commerce as the winner of the 2023 Excellence in Equality Awards. This award honors the company’s Midland, Texas, office for its efforts to advance women in the workplace and transform corporate practices surrounding women’s equality.

Now in its 2^nd year, the Midland Chamber of Commerce reviews nominations of local businesses that promote women leaders, provide fair working conditions, support equal parenting and caregiving roles and improve access to opportunities for women.

Weaver has implemented many policies, programs and procedures that directly support women in a meaningful way. The Midland office participates in the company’s employee-led Empowerment Impact Team, DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging) training programs and expanded maternity leave program with flexible return options. The office also collaborates with external organizations who support women’s advancement.

The award was announced at the WTX Women’s Symposium on Thursday, October 12, 2023, and presented to Weaver’s Midland team prior to the final keynote speech.
