Weaver Sponsors Private Reception for Author Sandra Brown

More than 40 professionals gathered on November 15, 2012, at a private reception, sponsored by Weaver, prior to the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce’s Women Influencing Business luncheon at the Ashton Depot. Taking place on the balcony that overlooks Ashton Depot’s main dining room, Weaver staff personally met and visited with featured luncheon speaker, author Sandra Brown.

Approximately 100 professionals attended the luncheon and enjoyed hearing Brown’s presentation that included many funny fan-related stories. She is a Texas Christian University graduate and author of more than 75 novels, including 62 New York Times bestsellers. Weaver hosted a table of eight, including three guests. Kris Cooke, senior manager in Tax and Strategic Business Services, represented the firm at the head table.  

“We thoroughly enjoyed networking with other influential Fort Worth business women,” said Jeanne Smith, partner in Tax and Strategic Business Services, “and personally meeting Sandra Brown and hearing her stories made the event very worthwhile to sponsor and attend.” Weaver is a frequent Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce’s Women Influencing Business sponsor in conjunction with “Inspire,” Weaver’s women’s initiative.
