Weaver Welcomes Carey Savio as Commercial Audit Partner in New York

HOUSTON (May 5, 2025) – National accounting and advisory firm, Weaver, is pleased to announce that Carey Savio (Marshall), CPA, has joined the firm as a partner in the commercial audit practice. Based in New York, Carey has nearly 25 years of audit and assurance experience, enhancing Weaver’s growing presence in the Northeast.

Known for her ability to navigate complex accounting challenges, Carey’s industry experience spans distribution, construction leasing, retail, and media and entertainment. Throughout a long career in the Big Four, she led audits for a broad client portfolio ranging from Fortune 500 publicly traded companies to privately held businesses. In addition to her extensive client work, Carey has served in leadership roles focused on talent development and campus recruiting. She has also worked as a faculty network member, delivering training on technical accounting and auditing matters.

Carey is a certified public accountant in New York and a member of the AICPA. She actively contributes to the advisory council for the Leo J. Meehan School of Business at her alma mater, Stonehill College. She also teaches as an adjunct professor in the Department of Accounting and Law at Adelphi University.
