Weaver’s Gary McIntosh Receives TSCPA’s Top Service Award for 2014-15

Gary McIntosh, CPA, CFF and recently- retired partner at Weaver, the largest independent accounting firm in the Southwest, received the 2014-15 Meritorious Service Award to the Public Accounting Profession in Texas, the highest service award given by the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). TSCPA presented this award in June at the organization’s Annual Meeting of Members in Dallas. 

The Meritorious Service Award is regarded as the highest honor bestowed by the TSCPA. It is not given every year and is only presented to an individual who has given outstanding service to the Society and their local chapter. The recipient must also demonstrate exceptional leadership in the organization over a number of years, having served as a committee chair, officer and on the TSCPA Board of Directors. In addition, the honoree serves as a spokesperson for the profession through speeches and articles.
