Leanne: Welcome to Weaver’s Motor Fuels Tax Minute, the vlog where we talk all things motor fuel.
As you’ve seen over the past few episodes, our team has been growing, and today we introduce you to the final member of our team, Kris, who sits in our Oklahoma City office.
Kris, tell us a little bit about yourself.

Kristine: Hi, I’m Kris Nguyen. I’ve been with Weaver since November of 2024 and I find motor fuel’s interesting, coming from sales tax. It’s pretty interesting, but fun. There’s pretty much nothing that’s the same.
Everything is kind of, you get to go through different emotions in one day. But I like it.
And then an interesting fact about me is I enjoy baking, but I hate sweets, if that makes sense.

Leanne: So, do you bake like savory items, or do you bake sweets and give them away?

Kristine: I bake them, have my husband taste them, and then I’ll give them away to neighbors.

Leanne: Nice. I think you must be everybody’s favorite neighbor.

Kristine: No, they keep telling me, like, what are you doing to me?

Kelly: Well, I guess it’s good we’re not in the Oklahoma City office, or that would be a big problem for me.
And I loved the comparison you did with motor fuel and sales tax. A lot of times, they kind of get grouped together a lot, and the differences aren’t always seen. They’re both challenging in their own way, but definitely separate.
Although I will say, Kris, you talked about your start time being in November. Feels like you’ve been here so much longer. You’ve just picked up on the motor fuel tax stuff and you have run with it.
