WeaverLEAD

A Coaching Culture for Leadership Development

At Weaver, one of our core values is to help each other succeed in work and in life. We are committed to investing in the strength of our team. That’s why we have created an internal leadership coaching program to train leaders to support other leaders at every level of the organization.

The goal of WeaverLEAD is to inspire the growth and development of our leaders by:

Leaning into the experience of exploring new ideas for each individual’s growth as a leader.

Engaging the coaching mindset at work with new ways of thinking about challenges and opportunities.

Adapting to the transformation that takes place as a result of participating in the program.

Developing yourself and others with coaching competencies to create a firm-wide culture of coaching.

Building a Culture of Coaching

WeaverLEAD will adhere to International Coaching Federation (ICF) standards, which define coaching as “a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.” The program will seek accreditation with ICF following its inception.

The 70-hour training program, created by coaching professionals with ALIGN Coaching & Consulting in partnership with Weaver’s Chief Talent Officer, will require reading, reflection, and practice between sessions. Following the training, WeaverLEAD coaches will coach internally within the firm. Coaching will take place in individual and group sessions, typically on a monthly basis. This program will partially fulfill the requirements to gain an ICF credential. Additional requirements are 100+ hours of coaching plus 10 hours of mentor coaching, which the WeaverLEAD team, under the direction of the Chief Talent Officer, will also provide to the members of each cohort.

Expanding the Reach of Executive Leadership Coaching

Looking further into the future, there is potential for WeaverLEAD to be marketed externally to Weaver clients as well as Allinial Global and other firms. Clients would be able to take advantage of the opportunity that executive leadership coaching presents for their own growth and development. Other firms would be able to sponsor individuals to join a WeaverLEAD cohort to receive training to provide coaching to leaders at their firms.

“The WeaverLEAD program will include a thorough evaluation of impact as a core dimension, because they care about providing a leader development experience that works—not just something that people feel good about.”

“This self-critical approach positions them not just to pat themselves on the back for doing great work, but to engage in the kind of process improvement work that will help them maximize the benefits of this training for Weaver leaders and those who follow them.”
