Anna Stevens

For more than 15 years, Anna Stevens, CPA, FHFMA, CHFP, has provided accounting and advisory services to health care organizations. She has served clients in a variety of for-profit, not-for-profit and governmental health care entities, including federally qualified health centers, behavioral health facilities, physician practices, ambulatory clinics, acute care hospitals and post-acute care facilities, as well as biotech companies. Leading Weaver’s health care advisory practice, Anna brings industry-specific consulting offerings such as revenue cycle assessments, financial reporting and modeling and interim CFO services. Anna’s vision and growth objectives for this practice include the development of new technology platforms to gain deeper insights into coding and clinical documentation for a wide range of clients.

While working as a public accountant and consultant in Weaver’s audit and advisory practice, Anna served organizations with $400 million in net patient service revenues and has vast experience with complex engagements such as provider relief funds, stock option grants, start-up accounting and purchase price allocations.

Before joining Weaver, Anna worked as the corporate controller for an $80 million post-acute health care system, where she managed the operating budget, prepared financial statements and helped department leaders manage their individual operating budgets. In addition, she has served as the outsourced chief financial officer for a physician practice where she restructured their accounting department, revolutionized the financial health of the practice and ultimately took them through a change in control of ownership with a strategic buyer.

Anna is a certified public accountant (CPA) in Texas and a certified healthcare financial professional (CHFP). She is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA). She is a past president of the Texas Gulf Coast chapter of HFMA. Anna earned both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Sam Houston State University.
