Chad Valentine

Chad Valentine, CPA, has more than 17 years of experience in public accounting, including five years at a Big Four firm and 12 years at Weaver. He focuses his practice in advisory and accounting services for energy and commercial companies. His experience includes serving private and publicly held business enterprises, including a Fortune 100 client, and several smaller reporting companies in an audit or advisory capacity. He also manages engagements for various private enterprises utilizing GAAP, OCBOA, IFRS and full-cost and successful efforts methods basis of accounting.

He is experienced with GAAP to IFRS conversion, including a full multiyear financial statement conversion of a private oil and gas company including related disclosures. Chad also works with SAP client systems, specifically R/3 clients, and he is experienced with Sarbanes-Oxley controls testing and compliance as well as implementing testing strategies for integrated audits.

Chad has helped numerous companies with back office support through process improvement or back office replacement by providing qualified staff to perform day to day duties or consulting on financial statement presentation and analysis as well as implementation of new accounting standards or overall enhancement of accounting functions.

Chad is an active member of Young Professionals in Energy, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a past chapter president and current state board member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Sam Houston State University.
