Mike Stein, CPA, CIA, has more than 11 years of experience in public accounting, including risk management, compliance, business process improvement and internal audit experience. His practice areas of emphasis include performing outsourced internal audit (both outsourced and co-sourced), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and business process improvement consulting for the oil and gas (E&P upstream), manufacturing and public sector industries. In addition, Mike works with Weaver’s renewable and energy compliance industry practice to provide attestation services required under the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Code of Federal Regulations, Title 40, Part 80, Subpart F – Attest Engagements, Subpart H – Gasoline Sulfur, Subpart J – Gasoline Toxics, Subpart K and M – Renewable Fuel Standard and Subpart L – Gasoline Benzene.
Mike is an active member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. A Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor, Mike earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Texas at Dallas.
