Yoram Kappel has nearly 15 years of advisory experience, including fraud risk assessments for diverse clientele and industries, as well as internal audit, enterprise risk and SOX. Yoram regularly leads teams in the coordination and delivery of internal audit programs (including risk assessments delivery and internal audit plan development, execution and reporting). Yoram is a key player in delivering Weaver’s enterprise risk assessment projects for state government clients, including health care-focused entities. He has designed client tailored ERM frameworks, planned and coordinated risk assessment activities, collected and analyzed organizational risk categories, events and attributes, and delivered informative and intuitive results to a variety of audiences ― including Executive Leadership and Audit Committees.
He has extensive experience in evaluating internal control structures and environments, including assessing internal controls for end-to-end business processes, and reporting on improvement opportunities. Yoram is passionate about business partnering to promote risk awareness and receptiveness to internal control and compliance functions and activities. He is deeply familiar with standards and frameworks that guide internal auditing and risk management.
A Chartered Accountant (CA), Yoram is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors (AHIA). Native to Australia, Yoram completed the Weaver Secondment Program in 2016 and returned to Weaver in 2018. He has since been heavily involved in the growth of the GRC practice, and development of GRC-India. Yoram was also the recipient of the 2022 Weaver Core Values Award. He earned a Bachelor of Business in accounting and a Bachelor of Business in banking and finance from Monash University in Victoria, Australia.
