Weaver Announces New San Antonio-Based Audit Partner Joe Carranza, CPA

HOUSTON, TEXAS (April 13, 2022) – National certified public accounting and advisory firm, Weaver, announces that Joe Carranza, CPA, has joined the firm as an audit partner.

Based in the firm’s San Antonio office, Carranza will focus on audit services for public companies and financial services organizations. He has more than 11 years of experience in public accounting, including an extensive background working with both mid-size and Fortune 500 companies with a focus in the insurance industry, both property/casualty and life insurance.

Carranza built his career with a Big Four firm focusing on SOX internal controls over financial reporting; SEC, US GAAP and other statutory financial reporting; as well as corporate and IT governance. Additionally, he developed new audit methodology processes for the firm and trained 30+ teams through its implementation.

Carranza earned his Master of Accountancy from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Texas Tech University.
