Weaver’s Valuation Services Team Expands with Addition of Sharyl David, Managing Director

HOUSTON (March 20, 2024) – National accounting and advisory firm, Weaver, is pleased to welcome Sharyl David, CFA, ASA, as a managing director in its growing Valuation Services practice. Based in Weaver’s Sacramento, California, location Sharyl focuses on valuations for Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), mergers and acquisitions, corporate planning, and trust and estate planning.
Prior to joining Weaver, Sharyl spent over 20 years in the valuation practice of a large public accounting and advisory firm. In 2019, she founded and led Equity Business Valuations, Inc, a prominent boutique valuation firm serving clients nationwide from Northern California. While she has a primary industry focus in construction, manufacturing, distribution and professional services, she caters to clients in multiple industries nationwide, completing more than 1,800 valuations over the course of her 30-year career. Sharyl also has extensive experience as a sell-side and buy-side advisor for mergers and acquisitions.

Sharyl is a member of the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) and the National Valuation Advisory Committee for the ESOP Association. Additionally, she has presented at numerous conferences and seminars on the subjects of valuation, mergers and acquisitions and related topics including value drivers and how compensation structures affect value.
Sharyl received a Bachelor of Arts in finance from Western Washington University and an MBA from Seattle University. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA).
