Detailed Description of Weaver’s Motor Fuels Tax Minute, Episode 124
00:00:00
Leanne: Welcome to Weaver’s Motor Fuels Tax Minute, the vlog where we talk all things motor fuel.
00:00:05
Leanne: We have yet another new team member to introduce to everyone, though our newest team member isn’t necessarily new to Weaver. Mark Soileau, welcome to the motor fuel tax team, and welcome to the Motor Fuels Tax Minute. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
00:00:20
Mark: Thank you. I’ve been with Weaver for two years now and recently transitioned over to the motor fuel team. And prior to that, I was in SALT [state & local tax]. And my prior experience has been primarily with indirect taxes, focusing on sales and use tax for the last 10 years.
00:00:40
Kelly: Excellent. Well, tell us a fun fact about yourself.
00:00:44
Mark: I like to travel. We do a lot of road trips, and we travel to national parks. We’re trying to get all the national park cancellation stamps. We’ve got 70 of approximately 400 so far.
00:00:58
Leanne: Wow. That’s impressive. That’s really cool.
00:01:04
Kelly: Which one is your favorite so far?
00:01:06
Mark: So far, I think Yellowstone.
00:01:10
Kelly: Beautiful.
00:01:12
Leanne: Yellowstone is beautiful. Well, when you’re not at Yellowstone, what do you like about Weaver?
00:01:17
Mark: I like the people. The culture is excellent here, and everyone’s willing to help everyone out.
00:01:25
Kelly: Absolutely. And, hey, even when you’re at Yellowstone, you can be thinking of Weaver. No need to exclude the two. Just watch out for any bears or buffalo and don’t play with the wildlife.
00:01:36
Kelly: But it’s been an absolute pleasure talking to you, Mark. We have really enjoyed you being part of our team. And that is this week’s Motor Fuels Tax Minute. Thank you for joining us.
