Weaver Grows Financial Services Practice in California with Audit Director Vashisht R. Dhupad

HOUSTON (March 18, 2026) — National accounting and advisory firm, Weaver is pleased to announce that Vashisht R. Dhupad, CPA, has transitioned to the firm’s  Manhattan Beach, California, office as an audit director in its Financial Services practice. He joins the U.S. team after serving as an audit director in Weaver’s Bengaluru, India, office where he played a key leadership role in expanding the firm’s presence in India.

Vashisht has more than 14 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on asset management and alternative investment organization including private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, fund-of-funds and cryptocurrency funds. His background also includes significant experience managing high profile client portfolios, leading global engagement teams and advancing audit process improvements across complex fund structures reporting under U.S. GAAP.

Throughout his career, Vashisht has focused on enhancing audit quality, developing training programs for large professional teams and implementing technology-enabled efficiencies across the audit lifecycle. Earlier in his career, he held progressive roles within Big Four audit practices across the U.S., India and the Cayman Islands, where he led complex alternative investment audits, trained global teams and contributed to initiatives focused on enhancing audit quality.

A certified public accountant in California and Guam, Vashisht is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Loyola College in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
