Kelly: Welcome to our “Motor Fuels Tax Minute,” where we talk all things motor fuels. Today we are joined by Sean Muller, partner of specialty tax services.

Sean: Well, thank you. So, we’re going to talk a little more than motor fuels today, but I’m super excited to present the rest of what Weaver does in specialty tax services.

In addition to motor fuels and all the great things that this team does, we have a fixed asset advisory group that focuses on cost segregation and other tangible property regulations. We have an R&D credit and incentives group. We have our SALT group, which encompasses state income and franchise, sales and use tax consulting and compliance. We have an international tax group that focuses on individuals, businesses, inbound and outbound businesses. A tax provisions group, property tax group. That’s a nationwide property tax group. We have a tax controversy group both for our internal clients and external clients. And then we also have an IRA energy credit group as well.

So, a lot of groups and motor fuels is clearly the favorite. I mean, if we could have every single group do these “Motor Fuels Tax Minutes” in their own deal, we’d love it. So certainly, we’ve been watching these for many, many years now. A year and a half now y’all have been doing them? Good grief. Super excited to see where these continue to go, and I look forward to the hundredth one coming up in another six months, right? Three months?

Leanne: Yeah. We just had the 50th. So this is our 51st. We are excited to keep going, and I think that was a challenge to the rest of specialty tax services. I know they watch these. So, specialty tax services, Sean has challenged you. We’ll have some of you on here, all of you hopefully.
