David Jackson, CPA, has more than 25 years of experience in state and local tax matters, including former Big Four experience. His career focus is helping clients understand the impact of state and local taxes on their business operations. David’s experience includes legal entity simplification reviews, tax minimization studies, tax refund and credit studies, due diligence reviews including, state tax implications of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, large multi-state compliance outsourcing, ASC 740 analysis and state tax controversy. His state and local tax experience includes state income and franchise taxes, sales and use taxes, property taxes, and specialized state and local tax services. David is experienced in a wide array of industries, including power and utilities, oilfield services, upstream oil and gas, engineering and construction, chemical manufacturing, health care and technology.
David is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and Tennessee. He earned his Master of Accountancy degree in taxation from the University of Tennessee, and his Bachelor of Arts in business administration and accounting from Tennessee Technological University.
